Gradel Quadrangles
New College is delighted to announce the opening of their newest site, Gradel Quadrangles. Situated on Mansfield Road, just a stone’s throw from the main historic college site and open for bookings throughout June-September each year.
The site has 94 en-suite bedrooms (76 doubles, 18 singles) in a self-contained facility that not only provides breathtaking accommodation, but also a variety of flexible meeting and event spaces.
The mature garden trees that lend the site its suburban character became the starting point for the project. Three main buildings, Main Quad, New Warham House and the Porters’ Lodge, weave their way around them as well as the preserved buildings, Savile House, New College School and 1 Savile Road; the latter building is Grade II listed. In doing so, Gradel Quadrangles has created three south-sided garden quadrangles and Oxford’s first curved ‘quadrangle’.
